Coppice Valley is a unique and nurturing school, offering a calm and inspiring environment with extensive outdoor spaces including a large playing field, wildlife area, meadow, and our dedicated Forest School. It’s been a great week at Coppice Valley, full of learning and creativity across the school. Teachers have been launching their new texts in English lessons, with lots of exciting ‘hooks’ to inspire pupils and spark curiosity about their new stories. Year 1 visited Pizza Express today and they each came back with a pizza that they made (with a couple of extras for the staffroom).

As we come to the end of another busy half term at Coppice Valley, I always enjoy reflecting on all that’s been achieved. This half term has been full of learning, creativity and kindness - from our Forest School adventures in Reception, Year 2 and Year 5, to wonderful classroom learning, walk to school successes, trips and visitors and the continued work on establishing our new Zones of Regulation morning routines.

As we come to the end of another busy half term at Coppice Valley, I always enjoy reflecting on all that’s been achieved. We love working with our local community, here at Coppice Valley. We welcomed the help and advice of Horticap in helping us to make this amazing community garden. Our local community is welcome to use the growing beds and take food from it, after school hours, at weekends and in the holidays.
At Coppice Valley, we recognise that good mental health is as important as good physical health. Our pupils are taught self-care techniques, including recognising and managing emotions, exercise, relaxation and how to build relationships through a rich and varied curriculum.
Our Before and After School (BAS) care is run by our own Coppice Valley teaching assistants and staff, just for pupils at Coppice Valley School. Having our own staff run our wrap-around care means we can ensure the highest standards and that it functions to the same ethos and values as our school.
Our vision is to create learners for life - children who are enthused with a love for learning. This all begins in the haven of nature we have on our doorstep, here at Coppice Valley.
